I was born as just another life in this world
Started building my dreams on shifting sands
Everything was beautiful as I learned to live
I was just another nail in the heart of this land
And the Innocent child died within on the way
That was the last I have lived as I try to recall
And Soon realized the truth of this wicked lie
As I grew up witnessing the rise and the fall
We've caged our lives
Behind burning walls
From ashes we rise
And to ashes we'll fall
As Life is to death
So metal is to rust
It's Ashes to ashes
And it's dust to dust
There are a lot of things we leave behind
Where we are going, what it's all about?
the need for reasons grows more and more
Even if we loose ourselves in this crowd
Living for our wants and killing all our needs
The times have changed, and so have we
We don't have the time to realize the truth
Why is the world burning where ever we see
We want everything
And we want it all
From ashes we rise
And to ashes we'll fall
As Life is to death
